Tours built around you, not a timetable.
Round tours from seven to twenty days, day trips from wherever you are staying, and the safaris, trains and activities in between. All private, all with your own car and driver.
Pick a length. We will shape the rest.
Prices are starting points for the full tour with transport and accommodation arranged. Message us with your dates and group size and you will get an exact price for your trip.
Classic Sri Lanka, day by day.
This is how a week usually runs. It is a starting point: swap a safari for a beach day, add a night in Kandy, start in Negombo instead. Every tour is private, so the route is yours.
Airport to the cultural triangle
Nipuna meets you at Bandaranaike International Airport and drives you north to the Sigiriya area, with a stop at the Dambulla cave temples if the timing works.
Sigiriya rock and an elephant safari
Climb the Lion Rock early before the heat, then an afternoon jeep safari at Minneriya or Kaudulla, where the elephant herds gather in the dry months.
Kandy
Drive to Kandy by way of a spice garden, see the Temple of the Tooth and walk the lake in the evening.
The hill-country train to Ella
We book your seats on the famous train through the tea estates and drive your bags ahead, so you ride light and find everything waiting in Ella.
Ella
Nine Arch Bridge, Little Adam's Peak and Ravana Falls, with time for a tea factory or the zip line if you want it.
Yala safari, then the coast
Dawn game drive in Yala National Park, home to the densest leopard population anywhere, then down to the south coast for a night by the sea.
Galle Fort and the airport
A morning in the Dutch fort at Galle, then the expressway back to the airport, or stay on and we extend the trip.

Island in full
Everything in the week-long tour, with more nights in each place and these added in:
- Anuradhapura or Polonnaruwa: the ancient capitals, best explored by bicycle in the cool of the morning.
- Nuwara Eliya: a night in the old British hill station among the tea estates, with Horton Plains and World's End at dawn.
- Udawalawe: a second safari where elephants are almost guaranteed.
- Mirissa: whale watching between December and April, and beach time all year.
- Galle: a full day and night inside the fort rather than a dash through.
Slow Sri Lanka
The two-week tour, with a third week added in whichever direction suits you:
- East coast: Arugam Bay for surf and a laid-back beach scene, or Trincomalee and Nilaveli for calm water and snorkelling at Pigeon Island.
- The north: Jaffna's Tamil culture, temples and islands, a very different Sri Lanka from the south.
- Rainforest: a day in Sinharaja, the island's last big stretch of lowland rainforest, for birds and walking.
- Or simply slower: more nights wherever you liked best. The route is yours.
Whale watching runs roughly December to April. Elephant gatherings at Minneriya and Kaudulla peak around August and September. We plan around the seasons so you are in the right place at the right time.
Out and back in a day, from wherever you are.
Tell us where you are staying and we come to you. Entrance tickets, jeeps and boats can all be booked ahead so you walk straight in.

Sigiriya and Dambulla
The Lion Rock and the five painted cave temples with more than 150 Buddha statues.

Ella and Ravana Falls
Nine Arch Bridge, Little Adam's Peak and one of the widest waterfalls on the island.

Kandy and Pinnawala
The Temple of the Tooth, the botanical gardens and the elephants' river bath at Pinnawala.

Galle and the south
The Dutch fort, the Kande Viharaya temple near Aluthgama and the beaches beyond.

Yala National Park
The best chance in the world of seeing a wild leopard, plus elephants, crocodiles and sloth bears.

Udawalawe
If elephants are your priority, this is the park: open grassland and herds you can count on.

Whale watching, Mirissa
Blue whales and sperm whales off the south coast when the sea is calm.

Water sports, Bentota
Jet skis, water skiing, windsurfing and a lazy boat ride up the river.

The adventurous bits, booked for you.
Sri Lanka packs a lot into a small island. These are the activities guests ask for most, and we book them in advance with people we trust.
- White-water rafting at Kitulgala on the Kelani River, about five kilometres of rapids, suitable for anyone over ten.
- Flying Ravana mega zip line in Ella, with quad bikes, abseiling and archery at the same park.
- Bird watching at Bundala National Park and in the Sinharaja rainforest.
- Gem mines: see where Sri Lanka's sapphires come from and how they are still dug by hand.
- Scuba diving and snorkelling on the reefs of the south and east coasts.
- Hiking, cycling, canoeing and jungle camping for groups who want to get off the road.
Not sure which tour? Tell us your dates and we will suggest one.
Say how long you have, who is coming and what you most want to see. You will get a route and a price back, with nothing to pay until you are here.
